La Brea Dining Group, parent to the Jinya Ramen Bar and Robata Jinya brands, has named Clay Sanger to the new role of chief operating officer, the company said Thursday.
Sanger joins the Burbank, Calif.-based La Brea from Rancho Santa Margarita, Calif.-based Pieology Pizzeria, where he had served as COO since October 2016.
Prior to Pieology, Sanger (left) served in operations leadership roles at Panera Bread Co. and SusieCakes Bakeries. He started his career as a regional training manager with La Madeleine Country French Café in Arizona.
Tokyo restaurateur Tomonori Takahashi opened the first U.S. casual-dining Jinya Ramen Bar in Studio City, Calif., in 2010, and the company now has more than 30 locations across the United States and Canada.
The ramen-focused menu features 13 signature bowls with more than 20 toppings.
