Brinker International Inc. reported Tuesday a 12.1-percent increase in net income for the Sept. 24-ended first quarter, and slight increases in traffic at both of its casual-dining brands.
The Dallas-based company said same-store sales rose during the quarter and included traffic increases of 0.1 percent at is company-owned Chili’s Grill & Bar restaurants and 0.9 percent at Maggiano’s Little Italy units.
Brinker owns and franchise 1,574 Chili’s restaurants and 48 Maggiano’s units.
