Multiconcept operator Trifecta Management Group is planning to launch a new dining-and-entertainment venue this summer with locations in Ohio and California.

Known as KDB, which officials said stands for “your neighborhood kitchen, den and bar,” the new concept is scheduled to debut Aug. 5 in Columbus, Ohio, in Easton Town Center, taking over a former GameWorks location.

Agoura Hills, Calif.-based Trifecta was founded by Ron Lam, Bruce Nussbaum and Michael Auger, three former executives of the GameWorks brand, now owned by Sega Entertainment U.S.A. Inc.

Officials said KDB is designed as a “neighborhood place” that will appeal to families, groups or friends who want to hang out. The venue will feature “classic Americana” cuisine in a 150-seat dining area, such as barbecue, gourmet pizzas, pastas, burgers, sandwiches and salads.

The “den” area includes 25,000 square feet with games including billiards, sports simulations and activities to win prizes. The venue will also feature two bars, a sports bar with some games, and a downstairs bar with food and drink, both featuring high-definition televisions.

In mid-August, a second KDB will open in Long Beach, Calif., in a roughly 40,000-square-foot space in The Pike at Rainbow Harbor. It will have a similar format with the addition of a bowling alley.

Trifecta's other concepts include The Corner Alley, which features a 16-lane bowling alley, and its restaurant 4th Street Bar & Grill in Cleveland, Ohio. In addition, the group runs Zocalo Mexican Grill and Tequileria and Flannery’s Pub, both in Cleveland, as well as Montgomery Grill in Portsmouth, Va., and several entertainment centers in Florida, and Michigan.
