Starbucks Corp. upgraded its outlook for the year on Thursday after reporting a strong third quarter that showed positive same-store sales in all regions. For the quarter ended June 30, U.S. locations recorded a same-store sales increase of 9 percent, reflecting a 7-percent increase in transactions and a 2-percent increase in average ticket, which drove a 9-percent same-store sales increase for the Americas region overall. The Seattle-based company ended the quarter with 19,209 locations worldwide, including 13,153 in the Americas.
