The federal government said it would push back a mandate requiring employers to explain to employees what their health care coverage options are under the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act of 2010.
The Department of Labor said on its website it would push the March 1 deadline to late summer or early fall. The DOL said it was taking this action to give employers more time to prepare and because the government has not finalized or educated people about regulations associated with compliance.
