Jyoti Lynch will serve as chief information officer for the Dallas-based smoothie brand

Smoothie King has announced the appointment of Jyoti Lynch as the Dallas-based smoothie brand’s new chief information officer.

Lynch joins Smoothie King from Red Robin Gourmet Burgers Inc., where she served as chief technology officer for almost a year and a half, leading strategic and operational planning, innovation, and growth for the brand’s technology division. She has more than 25 years of experience in the tech space and has also held leadership positions over the years at Blockbuster, Jamba, and European Wax Center.

“We are confident that Jyoti’s deep expertise and leadership will help us continue to innovate and meet the evolving needs of our guests’ healthy and active lifestyles,” Wan Kim, CEO of Smoothie King, said in a statement. “I believe she is a great addition to our executive team and will help us continue to improve and elevate Smoothie King’s technology capabilities.”

In her new role at Smoothie King, Lynch will lead the brand’s technology strategy, helping to lead its digital transformation and consumer experience. She will build out a technology strategy that supports continued business growth for the brand, including franchisee profitability.

“I am thrilled to join Smoothie King at such a pivotal time in its growth,” Lynch said in a statement. “The opportunity to lead the company’s technology strategy and work alongside such a talented team in support of our franchise partners is truly inspiring. I look forward to driving innovative and transformative solutions that will continue to make Smoothie King an industry leader.”

Smoothie King operates 1,200 units nationally, and during the company’s most recent fiscal quarter, marked the highest number of store openings in six years.
