A look at recent job changes from chefs across the nation:
David Nolan was named executive pastry chef at the Ritz-Carlton Lodge, Reynolds Plantation, in Greensboro, Ga. He will be working closely with the 251-room resort’s new chef, Yann Chupin. Most recently, Nolan served as executive chef of The Ritz-Carlton, Tysons Corner in McLean, Va.
Mike Sindoni has been promoted from chef de cuisine to executive chef of Againn, a 140-seat British Isles bistro in Washington, D.C. Before helping to open Againn in October 2009, Sindoni was executive chef of Cervinia Restaurant in Mammoth Lakes, Calif., which is owned by the Patina Restaurant Group.
Amanda Howell was appointed executive chef of Pops Restaurant & Bar in Boston’s South End. This marks the Philadelphia native’s first executive chef position. Most recently Howell, who graduated from The Culinary Institute of America after receiving a full scholarship through the Careers Through Culinary Arts Program, or C-CAP, worked at Bokx 109 and the Russell House Tavern.
