Chipotle’s Boorito promotion is back this year for Halloween, allowing guests to once again receive a discounted $6 entree in exchange for showing up in costume on Oct. 31 from 3 p.m. until closing.
This year, the Newport Beach, Calif.-based fast-casual chain will be opening late in select locations in college towns throughout the U.S. Chipotle will also be extending this promotion to Europe for the first time, with costumed guests able to claim a £6 / €7 entrée offer at its 26 U.K. and French locations. Costumed Canadian customers will also be able to partake for an in-restaurant $7 CAD entrée offer.
"As an annual tradition for our fans, we are always looking for ways to level up our Halloween celebration," Chris Brandt, chief brand officer, said in a statement. "By extending hours on college campuses and expanding the festivities across two continents for the first time, Boorito will be bigger than ever."
Chipotle’s Boorito promotion began in 2000 as a burrito-themed costume contest and has since evolved into a national discount on Halloween for festively dressed customers. The promotion has been adjusted over the years, like in 2021, when Boorito went virtual with a Roblox metaverse tie-in.
While many Chipotle locations typically close by 9 or 10 p.m., 53 locations near universities will be open until midnight on Halloween, including select stores in Boulder, Colo.; Columbus, Ohio; Raleigh, N.C.; Berkeley, Calif.; Tampa, Fla.; Washington, D.C.; and more.
