New lines of stuffed pasta and burritos, a major quick-service menu revamp, low-waste bowls, a hearty omelet and a restaurant concept that merges Asian and Texan barbecue traditions all are being honored with MenuMasters Awards.
Presented by Nation’s Restaurant News and sponsored by Ventura Foods, the awards honor outstanding foodservice research and development. Winners have made innovations or created menu items that NRN’s editors have judged to have a significant impact on the industry.
Additionally, as announced earlier, Rohini Dey of Vermillion restaurant in Chicago and founder of Let’s Talk Womxn is the Innovator of the Year, and legendary chef Thomas Keller is being inducted into the MenuMasters Hall of Fame, an honor being granted after a two-year delay due to the pandemic.
The recipients will be celebrated at an invitation-only awards gala at the Drake Hotel in Chicago May 21.
