Starbucks, Shari’s Restaurants, Chipotle executives

Shari's Restaurants appears to be in some trouble. Multiple reports indicate the Oregon-based family dining chain has not been paying rent or taxes in some locations, and has been sent notices of eviction.

Starbucks has been sued over a bad earnings report. Shareholders have filed a class action lawsuit against the coffee shop giant, saying that statements executives made in November and then in January misled investors about the state of the company, especially in China.

Chipotle doled out some hefty retention bonuses to its top executives in an effort to ensure they'll stick around a while after the departure of CEO Brian Niccol, who is about to become the new CEO of Starbucks. Chipotle said its previously disclosed C-suite changes will be accelerated.

Nearly a quarter of publicly traded restaurant companies have changed CEOs this year. More public restaurant companies have made changes at the top than they did all of last year, in fact.
