Fazoli’s, the quick-service Italian food chain, on Tuesday promoted Jodie Conrad to chief marketing officer. She previously served as VP of marketing and has been with the company since 2016. She replaced Donna Spangler-Josephson who left Fazoli’s to join Corner Bakery as CMO.
“Jodie has been an invaluable part of the Fazoli’s team,” said Carl Howard, Fazoli’s CEO, in a statement. “I look forward to seeing her continued innovation and triumph as we position the Fazoli’s brand to meet the ever-changing consumer demands. Our industry is undergoing the fastest period of change and disruption in its history, and I’m pleased that we have a marketing leader with a proven track record of success at the helm.”
Conrad (left) will lead advertising, digital and social media, field marketing, consumer insights, off-premise business development, public relations and new product development and testing, according to the company.
The Lexington, Ky.-based brand also announced two other high-level promotions. Blaine Adams to SVP of supply chain and quality assurance and Wayne Pederson to VP of information technology.
“We are extremely proud to announce the promotions of Jodie, Blaine and Wayne,” said Fazoli’s President and CEO Carl Howard. “Their experience, dedication and passion exemplify our mission and make Fazoli’s a stronger brand.”
In the decade-plus since Howard has taken over as CEO of Fazoli’s he’s helped turn around the “elevated” QSR brand by implementing a new menu and a new look. Fazoli’s currently owns and operates nearly 220 restaurants in 28 states.
