Del Frisco's Restaurant Group Inc. has named Mia Meachem, left, chief marketing officer for its five brands, the company said Wednesday.
Meachem, who most recently served as CMO at the Dallas-area Highland Park Village shopping center, succeeds Brandon Coleman III, who was the first executive in the CMO role. Coleman was named president of DFRG’s Del Frisco’s Grille in August.
“As we have begun a new era at the company through the acquisition of Barcelona and Bartaco, we felt it was the optimal time to reinstate the role of CMO,” said Norman Abdallah, CEO of Del Frisco’s Restaurant Group, in a statement. “Mia’s past experiences working with consumer-focused companies will be undoubtedly instrumental to elevate our marketing and innovation efforts moving forward.”
Earlier in July, the Irving, Texas-based restaurant group closed on its $325 million acquisition of Norwalk, Conn.-based Barteca Restaurant Group, parent to the Barcelona Wine Bar and Bartaco brands.
Prior to her position at Highland Park Village, Meachem worked in marketing roles with such brands as Neiman Marcus Group, Burt’s Bees and Estée Lauder Companies.
“I have long admired Del Frisco’s as both a marketer and a guest, and I am excited to join the team,” Meachem said. “I see tremendous opportunity to further elevate and increase consumer engagement of these brands.”
Del Frisco's Restaurant Group has 84 restaurants in 24 states and Washington, D.C., and includes such brands as Del Frisco's Double Eagle Steakhouse, Barcelona Wine Bar, Bartaco, Del Frisco's Grille and Sullivan's Steakhouse.
