The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf has named Jeff Harris chief financial officer, overseeing financial functions as well as the supply chain, human resources, risk management and legal teams, the coffeehouse operator said Monday.
Harris replaces Karen Cate and will report directly to Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf president and CEO John Fuller, who assumed that position in September.
Most recently, Harris was CFO and chief operating officer of Purple Wine Co., a $70 million company based in Graton, Calif. He has also served as CFO at fashion companies Stella & Dot and Gymboree, and has held finance leadership positions at entertainment firms Lucasfilm Ltd. and Disney.
“We are excited to welcome Jeff to our executive management team,” Fuller said in a press release. “His experience will be a strong complement to our executive team and will be invaluable as we continue to drive our global strategic growth initiatives.”
“It’s an ideal time to join a great brand like The Coffee Bean,” Harris said. “I look forward to being a part of the company’s continued trajectory of expansion and growth both domestically and internationally.”
The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf, based in Los Angeles, has more than 1,000 locations worldwide.
