KFC launches streetwear-inspired holiday merch and Festive Feast Deals

The new holiday collection includes sweatshirts, hoodies, socks, and more, and is designed by German duo Yeye Weller

KFC is rolling out streetwear-inspired merchandise designed by Yeye Weller, an illustrator duo from Münster, Germany, specializing in colorful, whimsical designs that focus on messages of joy and positivity. They have previously partnered with some of the biggest brands in the world, including Adidas, Netflix, McDonald’s, Dunkin’, and Coca-Cola.

The new 2024 KFC Holiday Collection, available online at KFCShop.com, includes sweatshirts, T-shirts, a festive sweater, a hoodie, a beanie, socks, and more, with options at various price points. Yeye Weller has also designed KFC’s annual holiday-themed bucket, which has been a tradition at the chain since the 1960s.

Additionally, KFC is releasing new meal deals, including a Festive Feast featuring the 2024 holiday bucket, six pieces of fried chicken, six of KFC’s new Original Recipe Tenders plus three sauces, and two large homestyle sides of choice for $25.99. Also, a Chicken & Tenders Feast deal includes eight pieces of fried chicken, eight Original Recipe Tenders and four sauces, three large homestyle sides of choice, and four biscuits.

“KFC’s Original Recipe has brought people together for generations, especially around the holidays. This season, get more bang for your bucket with the KFC Festive Feast for just $25.99,” chief marketing officer and chief development officer Catherine Tan-Gillespie said in a statement. “Whether you’re gathering with friends, family, neighbors or coworkers, exchanging gifts, or just breaking biscuits, KFC has your meal, gifts, and wardrobe covered.”

KFC has launched several merch partnerships this year, including with Life Is Good and Box Lunch. In an attempt to win back eroding traffic across the industry, the chain has also introduced several meal deals. In August, for instance, it added two new $5 meals as part of its Taste of KFC deals, and it has been offering $10 Tuesdays, in which customers can order a bucket of eight pieces of drums and thighs for $10. The company’s domestic system has struggled to find traction this year, reporting a same-store sales decline of 5% in the third quarter, which followed -7% and -5% in the preceding two quarters.

During KFC parent company Yum Brands’ earnings call last month, chief executive officer David Gibbs said the chain’s challenges are driven by a “complex consumer environment,” while its limited-time offers underperformed expectations. He added, “we have fantastic leaders in place working on revised strategies to create a step-change in results.”
