Dave & Buster’s is looking for a new CEO. The previous holder of the job, Chris Morris, has resigned to, quote, pursue other opportunities, unquote, according to the eatertainment specialist. Yet the company acknowledged that a headhunter was contracted several months ago to search for a successor for Morris.

Krispy Kreme was recently hit with a cyberattack that is affecting its online ordering systems. The publicly traded doughnut chain was notified of “unauthorized activity” within its information technology systems on Nov. 29.

Restaurant menu price inflation is normalizing. Restaurant prices rose 0.3% last month, compared with a 0.5% increase at grocers and other retail food sites, according to new federal data released Wednesday.

Dickey’s sales are falling, and franchisees are closing their doors. The company recently revealed that 85 locations closed in the year ended May 31, but franchisees told Restaurant Business that another 30 or so have closed since then.
