SAN FRANCISCO Haagen-Dazs has teamed up with San Francisco's Hotel Triton to turn the ice cream brand into a hotel-room design.
The Triton, a boutique hotel operated by The Kimpton Group, has started renting the Haagen-Dazs themed "Sweet Suite." The room is done in vanilla and caramel colors and features a headboard shaped like Haagen-Dazs' scrollwork label, known as a cartouche.
Amenities also include a bed throw with the waffle texture of Haagen-Dazs cones; chocolate- and vanilla-scented candles; and Haagen-Dazs bathrobes. An ice-cream cabinet, called the Sweet Spot, contains complimentary pints of classic and new Haagen-Dazs flavors.
The hotel features suites designed by such celebrities as comedian Kathy Griffin, the late Jerry Garcia of the Grateful Dead and musician Carlos Santana. The Sweet Suite is its first branded room.
