2024 saw many executive moves, but none more than the shuffling of CEOs. While some people have changed positions, quite a few simply changed companies.
Some CEOs were no strangers to headlines this year, such as Brian Niccol of Starbucks, who promised to bring back Starbucks’ success and take part in good-faith negotiations with Starbucks Workers United.
Starbucks also created a new role of CEO of North America, tapping Michael Conway.
Chipotle named Scott Boatwright interim CEO in August after Niccol moved to Starbucks, eventually being named permanent CEO in November.
Papa Johns appointed former Wendy’s CEO Todd Penegor as its new CEO, while Wendy’s appointed Kirk Tanner, former CEO of North American beverages at PepsiCo Inc., to fill his place.
