Shari’s Cafe & Pies has named Rob Geresi to the newly created position of chief operating officer.
Geresi “brings a wealth of restaurant and entrepreneurial experience to our organization, and we’re confident he’ll help us continue the strong sales and guest count growth trend we’ve been experiencing,” Shari’s president and CEO Bruce MacDiarmid said in a press release.
Geresi was previously vice president of operations at Red Robin International, heading up its Burger Works division. Before that, he was senior vice president of Sonic Corp. He also co-founded New York Bagel Enterprises.
Shari’s family-dining chain has 96 units and is based in Beaverton, Ore.
