Texas Roadhouse has named Gina Tobin as its new president, a position held by CEO Jerry Morgan since 2021. Tobin most recently served as the casual dining chain’s chief learning and culture officer.
In her 27 years with the company, she has also served as a managing partner, market partner and vice president of training before taking on the chief learning and culture officer role in June of 2021. As president, she will maintain her current duties overseeing food, service, training, research and development and diversity and inclusion, and will also work with the company’s support center.
“This promotion creates a clear line of succession, which the board of directors and I have been working on for more than a year. With Gina as president, along with our phenomenal leadership team, I will be able to spend more time in the field supporting operations for all three concepts,” Morgan said in a statement.
Tobin’s promotion comes less than a week after the chain announced its CFO Tonya Robinson is retiring.
