Subway will offer footlong at $6.99 Aug. 26-Sept. 8

Deal applies to Subway Series or any custom sandwich for a limited time

Subway plans to jump further into the quick-service deal arena by offering any footlong, including Subway Series builds or custom sandwiches, for $6.99 with smartphone app or online orders Aug. 26-Sept. 8, the company said Friday.

Subway, which has headquarters divided between Shelton, Conn., and Miami, said customers can use the promotion code 699FL to access the $6.99 deal.

The deal applies to any footlong sub on the Subway menu, including the new Cheesy Garlic Steak, Honey Mustard BBQ Chicken, and Spicy Nacho Chicken sandwiches.

"Today's diner is stretched more than ever, and too often that means a tradeoff on quality, variety or flavor to find an affordable meal," Doug Fry, president of Subway North America, said in a statement.

"At Subway, our definition of value is a mix of delicious options at the right price without compromising quality,” Fry continued. “Our menu is full of footlongs for every budget, and this new deal means our guests can get the sandwiches they crave at a great value."

Earlier this summer, Subway began offering $3 Footlong Dippers.

The iconic $5 footlong was originally offered in 2008. The company brought it back a two-for-$10 version in 2020.

Prices and participation in the $6.99 offer vary, the company said. Prices may be higher in Alaska, California and Hawaii.

In April, Subway completed its sale to Atlanta-based Roark Capital.

Subway has nearly 37,000 restaurants worldwide.
