Focus Brands Inc. late last week named Michael Dixon the company’s new chief financial officer.

Dixon is a 15-year industry veteran and was most recently president and CFO of Ignite Restaurant Group Inc. At Atlanta-based Focus Brands, he will oversee finance, treasury, accounting, budget and tax issues for a multi-brand company that includes Auntie Anne’s, Carvel, Cinnabon, McAlister’s Deli, Moe’s Southwest Grill and Schlotzsky’s.

“With deep finance experience within both the franchise and company-operated restaurant industry, Mike has demonstrated the ability to provide critical support to differentiated food service brands and manage high-performance teams as a growth-oriented leader and top financial officer,” Focus Brands CEO Steve DeSutter said in a statement.

In addition to Ignite, Dixon has been the CFO of Pinkberry and The Cheesecake Factory. He has also worked with Petsmart.com and the Walt Disney Company.
