Boneheads Grilled Fish & Piri Piri Chicken has selected Sheri Miksa to become its first chief executive.
Miksa has previously held chief executive positions at Robeks Juice, a 140-unit chain, and Rubio’s Fresh Mexican Grill, which has 194 units, according to a Boneheads statement.
“We are certain Sheri’s strong industry background, including her substantial time in the fast-casual segment and with franchised organizations, will help us build this brand into a major player in the growing fast-casual segment,” said Boneheads owner Ron Barber in a statement.

Miksa, whose official title will be chief executive officer and president, said she thought Boneheads fell into a unique segment with growth potential: fast-casual seafood. The Atlanta-based chain currently has six locations, with two more set to open this spring.
The company plans to grow via franchising and needed a professional with that experience, said spokeswoman Linda Duke in an email.
“Fast-casual fresh-grilled seafood is an underserved segment,” Miksa said in a statement. “I look forward to leading this brand to achieve its significant growth potential and to bringing these remarkable flavors…to a broader U.S. audience.”
