Every year, Nation’s Restaurant News presents the Top 500 biggest restaurants in America, ranked by systemwide sales in the previous fiscal year. This year, we’re using data from our partners at Technomic to give you the best report yet.
In this report, meet those chains trying to break into the very Top 100: Those ranked No. 150 through No. 101. For each, you’ll also learn their systemwide sales and unit counts for 2023.
Among these 50 chains, 39 saw systemwide sales growth last year — fewer than in either of the rankings we’ve shared thus far (the 50 biggest restaurants, and those ranked No. 100 – No. 51). One brand, KPOT Korean BBQ & Hot Pot, achieved more than 250% systemwide sales growth in 2023 on the back of 243.8% unit growth, while Dave’s Hot Chicken nearly doubled its own sales with just 76% unit growth.
These restaurants achieved more than $19 billion in sales across their more than 11,297 units last year.
