DALLAS Pizza Hut on Thursday said it promoted Brian Niccol to chief marketing officer to replace Bill Ogle, who a day earlier was named marketing chief of Samsung Telecommunications America.
Most recently Niccol was vice president of national brand marketing and strategy for the chain, responsible for developing a mega brand strategy and all national brand-marketing programs. He joined Dallas-based Pizza Hut in 2005 as vice president of strategy and created a brand strategy to reposition the nearly 11,000-unit chain for growth.
Before joining Pizza Hut, a division of Yum! Brands Inc., Niccol spent 10 years in brand management at Procter & Gamble, where Ogle also had worked before joining the pizza chain.
