Chefs on the move: Recent culinary appointments across the country

Including the latest work by Janine Booth and Jeff McInnis and a changing of the guard at Emeril’s

There’s always a lot of mobility in the foodservice business, and the past few months have seen many chefs take on new positions.

Equipment manufacturer Rational USA recently promoted several chefs, chef power couple Janine Booth and Jeff McInnis are heading up the kitchen of a new restaurant in Orlando, Fla., and Emeril Lagasse is handing over back-of-the-house operations of his namesake New Orleans restaurant to his son.

Sammy DeMarco, who earned a name for himself at top restaurants in New York City, is now the chef of a restaurant at the Andaz Scottsdale, and the Atlas Restaurant Group, a growing multi-concept operator based in Baltimore, has hired Timor Fazilov of the chef for its restaurants specializing in Asian cuisine.

The Sanctuary Camelback Mountain in Paradise Valley, Ariz., has a whole new culinary team, and the Signia by Hilton Atlanta has a new executive chef and executive pastry chef.
