The next generation of the Lee family takes over management of Flame Broiler

Christian Lee is now president and Daniel Lee is chief innovation officer, while youngest brother David Lee has also joined the team

Christian and Daniel Lee have assumed new positions at Flame Broiler, the bowl concept that their father Young Lee founded in 1995.

Christian Lee has been promoted from chief operating officer to president and Daniel Lee has been promoted from chief technology and marketing officer to chief innovation officer.

According to a spokesperson from the chain, the brothers had showed an interest in the chain at an early age and started working in them as dishwashers. They went on to become franchisees of the brand, running their own restaurants for four years to get hands-on operations experience. They spent more than a decade learning about the chain’s technology, marketing, and culture, and played important roles during the pandemic, including digital innovation and opening corporate-owned locations, as well as strengthening the chain’s restaurant support center.

In a LinkedIn post, the chain said the brothers’ “commitment to carrying on their dad’s mission of making good food accessible to every neighborhood, alongside their dedication to elevating the customer experience and fostering franchise system growth, is truly inspiring. We eagerly look forward to their leadership as we continue to expand our family and embrace change.”

Their younger brother David Lee has also joined the team as Brand Coordinator.

Flame Broiler is a 137-unit chain based in Santa Ana, Calif.
