Fiesta Restaurant Group Inc. reported Thursday that net income increased 26.7 percent during its June 30-ended second quarter. The Addison, Texas-based parent to the 134-unit Pollo Tropical chain and 164-unit Taco Cabana chain said it considered Pollo Tropical its “primary expansion vehicle,” with plans for 12 of this year’s 18 new company-owned restaurants to be under that brand.
