Ignite promotes four executives

Joe’s Crab Shack and Brick House Tavern + Tap parent says changes are effective immediately

Ignite Restaurant Group Inc. on Wednesday announced four executive management promotions, effective immediately.

Houston-based Ignite, which is the parent to the 130-unit Joe’s Crab Shack and 15-unit Brick House Tavern + Tap chains, is in the process of closing a $55 million deal to buy the 210-unit Romano’s Macaroni Grill chain from Golden Gate Capital.

The promotions to new positions include:

James F. Mazany to president of Joe’s Crab Shack restaurants. Mazany most recently served as chief operating officer for the Joe’s brand, and he has been with the Ignite Restaurant Group for more than five years.

James W. Kuhn to president of the Brick House Tavern + Tap chain. Kuhn most recently was chief operating officer of the brand, and he has been with Ignite for more than five years.

Michael J. Dixon to president and chief financial officer of Ignite Restaurant Group. He was named CFO in January, but with the additional title president he will be responsible for restaurant support services for all the brands.

Edward J. McGraw to chief development officer of IRG. McGraw most recently was senior vice president of development, and he has been with the company for more than three years. He will head real estate management for Ignite’s brands.

Raymond A. Blanchette III, Ignite’s chief executive, said in a statement that he was “pleased to recognize the accomplishments of this management group with these promotions.”
