CBC Restaurant Corp., parent to the Corner Bakery Cafe chain, has named Justin Lambeth chief marketing officer, the company said Wednesday.
Lambeth succeeds Diana Hovey, who left in April to join the non-profit organization Share Our Strength.
Dallas-based Corner Bakery Cafe, owned by Atlanta-based Roark Capital Group, cited Lambeth’s retail, consumer insight and strategic marketing experience.
Corner Bakery Cafe president Gary Price said in a statement that Lambeth’s experience in both consumer packaged goods, as well as food and beverage, “will help continue our momentum as a leader in the fast-casual category."
Lambeth was most recently chief marketing officer of the Quaker division of PepsiCo Inc. Prior to that role, he was a vice president at Frito-Lay, and held leadership roles at H.J. Heinz and Nabisco Inc.
“Corner Bakery Cafe’s creativity and willingness to think outside the box is something I’ve always been a fan of from afar,” Lambeth said. “I believe I can help Corner Bakery Cafe continue to innovate in the space with marketing campaigns that have a lasting impact on the brand and drive additional traffic to the cafés.”
Corner Bakery Cafe has more than 185 company-owned and franchised restaurants in 21 states and the District of Columbia.
