Dine Brands adds Matt Ryan to the board

Matt Ryan is CEO of Soli Organic, the nation’s largest commercial indoor organic grower.

Dine Brands, parent company of restaurants Applebee's, IHOP and Fuzzy’s Taco Shop, has added Matt Ryan to its board of directors. Ryan currently serves as chief executive officer of Soli Organic, the nation’s largest commercial indoor organic grower.

“With over 35 years of experience in strategic planning, customer relationship management, digital, and analytics, Matt brings highly valued skills to the table. His knowledge of building new avenues for growth and leading marketing, brand, and product functions for other global brands will make him a strong addition to Dine Brands’ Board of Directors,” board chairman Richard Dahl said in a statement, adding that Ryan joins as the company continues to grow its global footprint.

Prior to Soli Organic, Ryan served in various leadership roles for companies in retail, CPG and entertainment, including Starbucks and The Walt Disney Company. He has also held strategic planning roles with several national and international advertising agencies and currently serves on the Board of Directors for Kaiser Permanente Heath Plan and Hospitals.

Ryan’s appointment comes on the heels of Susan M. Collyns’ decision to resign from the board effective March 31, 2024, due to her newly appointed role as CFO of Fabletics.
