J. Alexander’s LLC has promoted J. Michael Moore to become the company’s first vice president and chief operating officer.
Moore has worked for upscale-casual restaurant chain J. Alexander’s since it was founded in 1991, according to company president and chief executive Lonnie J. Stout II. Most recently, he served as vice president, human resources and administration for the Nashville-based company, which now encompasses J. Alexander’s restaurants and the Stoney River Legendary Steak concept.
“[Moore] has been an integral part of our management team for more than 22 years and will have expanded responsibilities for Human Resources and Operations of J. Alexander’s LLC,” Stout said in a statement. “He also as senior management duties involving the continued integration of our Stoney River operations into J. Alexander’s LLC and in further improving the performance of our J. Alexander’s restaurants.”

J. Alexander’s LLC is majority owned by Fidelity National Financial, Inc., a title insurance and mortgage services firm that also owns American Blue Ribbon Holdings, the parent of O’Charley’s, Bakers Square and Max & Erma’s, among others.
Systemwide, there are 30 J. Alexander’s locations and 10 Stoney River locations.
