Seafood tracker: New fish and shellfish dishes from chains nationwide

In the run-up to Lent, which started Wednesday, many restaurant chains have rolled out seafood items. Some of them are catering to customers who avoid meat on Fridays in the period before Easter. Others, such as TooJay’s Deli, are celebrating St. Patrick’s Day with Irish items like seafood chowder. Farm Burger, a 12-unit chain based in Atlanta, has an entirely different agenda: It’s offering a sandwich made of blue catfish, an invasive species that threatens the waters of the Chesapeake Bay area, to do its part to cut down on the population as well as to raise awareness of the problem.

Take a look at these and other seafood items that are new to restaurant menus.
