OAK BROOK, Ill. (March  2, 2010) McDonald’s is bolstering its breakfast lineup with tests of oatmeal, an item that has proved popular in the morning at rival chains.

The Fruit & Maple Oatmeal, which includes brown sugar, apples, raisins and cranberries, was being sold all day for $1.99 at a McDonald's in Salinas, Calif., and Ad Age reported the item was also being tested in Baltimore and Washington, D.C.
