BURLINGTON Vt. Bruegger's Enterprises Inc. is rolling out two new sweet pastries for the Christmas season: a Cinnamon Roll Bagel and bite-sized Cinn-ful Bits.
The Cinnamon Roll Bagel is prepared using softer bagel dough combined with brown sugar, cinnamon and vanilla. After the bagel has been baked, it is drizzled with vanilla icing. The bagel, available for a limited time, is priced at $1.79 each, depending upon the location.
The Cinn-ful Bits are prepared by rolling the soft bagel dough in cinnamon and sugar and then baking them. Also an LTO, the Bits are served five to an order for $1.29.
"The spices used in traditional holiday treats are perfectly suited to Bruegger's menu," said Philip Smith, executive chef of the 292-unit bakery-cafe chain.
Several franchisees already are calling the holiday bagel Òthe best new product ever,Ó according to a company spokeswoman.
To complement the LTOs, Bruegger's is featuring a seasonal Cinnamon Cream Swirl coffee from Green Mountain Coffee, which includes cinnamon and vanilla. Guests who belong to Bruegger's Bottomless Mug club can purchase the coffee for $1.39, depending upon the location.
