MOUNTAINSIDE N.J. Bugaboo Creek Steak House said Thursday it has revamped its lunch and dinner menus to offer customers a broader array of flavors and appeal to their desire to customize meals.
Debuting as appetizers are Hickory Bourbon Wings for $7.99, and Lumberjack Fries with melted cheese, bacon and chives that are designed for sharing, for $6.49. Both starters are the same price at lunch and dinner.
New to the main course section of the dinner menu are a 12-ounce Roasted Garlic and Parmesan Crusted Prime Rib for $18.49 and a Woodlands Grilled Chicken that is described as two char-grilled chicken breasts, herb-roasted mushrooms, melted Swiss cheese and grilled onions along with a red-wine demi-glace sauce for $13.79.
“We refreshed the flavor profiles,” said Sam Borgese, chief executive of CB Holding Corp., Bugaboo’s parent company. Prices were mostly kept consistent, and those that were lowered were just slightly changed, he added.
Playing to the industry-wide customization trend, Bugaboo Creek is also rolling out a Build Your Own Combo called Summer Grillin’ at the Creek for $16.99 at dinnertime only. The program, which allows diners to pick two of five main course options and a choice of salad and a side, did well in test, according to Borgese.
Based in Mountainside, Bugaboo Creek, a family-oriented casual-dining chain, has 30 locations along the East Coast. Its parent company, CB Holding Corp., also operates the 49-unit Charlie Brown’s Steakhouse casual-dining chain and The Office Beer Bar & Grill, a seven-unit chain.
