The virtual-restaurant company Virturant is partnering with Lunchbox Technologies, the digital restaurant software firm, to introduce a Ghost Eats smartphone app by mid-year, the companies said Tuesday.
Miami-based Virturant, which has more than 25 brands that range from Calzone King and The French Toastery to Uptown Burgers, said the deal would allow it “to offer more cuisine options to delivery-only diners nationally.”
A spokesperson said the new app would debut in the second quarter of this year.
New York City-based Lunchbox provides restaurant customers with marketing, technology integration, consumer data, point-of-sale, branding and website design tools.
Virturant said the new Ghost Eats app will increase brand offerings and allow customers to order from multiple cuisines in a single order.
"We're thrilled to partner with Lunchbox and their suite of world-class products built specifically for virtual restaurants and ghost kitchens," said Robert Young, Virturant’s chief revenue officer, in a statement.
“Our new Ghost Eats marketplace will give hungry diners access to a wider variety of cuisines and virtual brands to choose from in a single order,” Young said.
Virturant said it “reviews customer orders to improve menu offerings and increase profitability by analyzing the most popular food orders in a specific region.”
Virturant’s current brands span two dozen offerings, including &Fries, CHKN, Pasta Envy, Sandwich Boss, Sunrise Sandwich Co. and Wing Society
Virturant was launched in 2019.
