Southern California family-dining brand Norms Restaurants has named Mark Politzer as president and chief executive officer. He brings to the role more than 25 years of management experience in luxury hospitality operations with companies such as Mandarin Oriental Hotels, Four Seasons, and Relais & Châteaux.

Politzer most recently served as chief operating officer at the Mina Group, a San Francisco-based company that includes restaurants such as Bourbon Steak, Bardot Brasserie, The Bungalow Kitchen, Lunara, Mina’s Fish House, and more.

At Norms, he is tasked with leading strategic growth, employee development, and innovation, including on the menu and through technology such as pay-at-the-table. Politzer is also targeting new markets, including Texas and Arizona, as well as expansion in Nevada and California. Revitalized restaurant designs and community-focused non-profit partnerships are also planned for the months ahead.

Norms opened its first location in 1949 and now counts nearly 25 locations, including its most recent opening in Las Vegas in October.
