Restaurants got a special shout-out Monday during a presentation by Sam Kass, the White House assistant chef and senior policy adviser for Healthy Food Initiatives.
When it comes to making menus more healthful for children, Kass said, "Restaurants across the country are making some really great changes."
He cited smaller plates and more vegetable options as examples.
"More and more companies are realizing this is good business," he said.
