After rumors of a potential sale have been swirling for weeks, Subway announced Tuesday that the sandwich chain is considering a potential sale of the company. Although scant details were available, the Milford, Conn.-based privately owned sandwich chain said that it is going through a sale exploration process and clarified that there is “no indication of timing or assurance that a sale will occur.”
In other news, McDonald’s is doubling down on its Famous Meal orders, announcing a new Cardi B and Offset Meal during Sunday’s Super Bowl. The Grammy Award winning rapper and her husband Offset, from the Atlanta rap group Migos, will debut their meal at participating restaurants starting on Valentine’s Day, Feb. 14.
Also, how Chick-fil-A’s Cauliflower Sandwich came to life. The product has gone through about four years of iterations in which Stuart Tracy, the chain’s culinary developer, and his team tried dozens of iterations using everything from mushrooms to legumes to beets.
