Every year, Nation’s Restaurant News presents the Top 500 biggest restaurants in America, ranked by systemwide sales in the previous fiscal year. This year, we’re using data from our partners at Technomic to give you the best report yet.
In this report, meet those chains trying to break into the very Top 100: Those ranked No. 200 through No. 151. For each, you’ll also learn their systemwide sales and unit counts for 2023.
Of these 50 chains, 35 saw same-store sales growth last year, fewer than any other ranking subset we’ve shared thus far (the 50 biggest restaurants; No. 100 – No. 51; No. 150 – No. 101). One brand, Salad and Go, continued its ongoing sales growth with a more than 50% change.
These chains achieved more than $11 billion in sales across their more than 8,000 units last year.
