Popeyes debuts Championship Lineup collab with Don Julio in advance of Super Bowl

The quick-service chicken restaurant chain will feature a sandwich and wings made with tequila

Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen has teamed up with Tequila Don Julio to release a Championship Lineup in preparation for the Super Bowl, hosted in Popeyes’ hometown of New Orleans. 

The brands have collaborated to make the Popeyes x Tequila Don Julio Reposado Flavored Concha Chicken Sandwich, which features a chicken breast fillet marinated in reposado tequila, fried in Popeyes’ crunchy buttermilk breading, topped with a tequila lime slaw, spicy spread, a barrel cured pickle, and sandwiched between a concha roll. Additionally, Popeyes will have Don Julio Reposado flavored Louisiana Garlic 3-piece wings featuring a specialty sauce, as well as a Spicy Strawberry Hibiscus Flavored Lemonade Mocktail.

On Jan. 31, customers 21+ will be able to preview the collaboration menu in New York City, Miami, New Orleans, Philadelphia, and Kansas City before it is exclusively available at the New Orleans flagship restaurant from Jan. 31 to Feb. 9, which is the day of the Big Game.

Customers unable to get the collaboration can redeem a buy one get one free Chicken Sandwich when purchasing Popeyes on UberEats, as well as a $5 code to redeem on Tequila Don Julio from Jan. 29-Feb. 9.
