Togo’s Holdings LLC has named Nader Garschi to the new position of chief operating officer, the company said Thursday.
Garschi’s appointment at the San Jose, Calif.-based sandwich brand came amid an executive team transition announced earlier, including Glenn Lunde being promoted to president with the retirement of Tony Gioia chief executive upon his retirement May 30.
Togo’s said it will be introducing “comprehensive” menu improvements on June 7.
Garschi will oversee both company-owned and franchise Togo’s locations as well as lead training, operations and new restaurant openings, the company said.
Garschi, a 30-year restaurant veteran, has worked with Taco Bell, Panda Restaurant Group and Lyon’s Restaurants.
Togo’s also announced the hiring of Anna Nero as senior vice president of marketing. Nero most recently served as executive director of marketing at Panda Restaurant Group.
According to Nation’s Restaurant News Top 200 research, Togo's reported fiscal 2016 U.S. system sales of $145.6 million from a year-end 246 restaurants, including 12 company units and 234 franchised locations.
Togo’s, founded in 1971, is owned by private-equity firm Nimes Capital LLC.
