Pizza Hut’s chief marketing officer George Felix has left the company for an opportunity outside of the restaurant industry, effective April 1, the Yum Brands company confirmed on Friday. In addition, Pizza Hut announced the promotion of Lynne Broad from chief financial and information officer for KFC South Pacific to CFO of Pizza Hut, where she will oversee finance and restaurant development.
“We wish George the very best and are grateful for his thoughtful leadership throughout an unprecedented year, and one in which the brand saw remarkable growth,” Pizza Hut said in a statement.
Following Felix’s resignation, the company announced several other executive leadership changes “as the brand seeks to sustain strong sales and build on the successful business performance of the past year,” Pizza Hut said in a statement.
Other leadership changes include:
- Former chief brand officer David Graves is taking on an expanded role of general manager, which will include responsibilities across all of marketing, including brand management, advertising, innovation, culinary, and customer experience, and will report to interim president Kevin Hochman.
- Reporting to Graves will be chief brand officer Georgeanne Erickson (formerly a leader in brand management and marketing innovation).
- Also reporting to Graves will be newly appointed chief marketing officer Lindsay Morgan (formerly director of brand communications) “will continue to advance growth, marketing and communication strategies for Pizza Hut.”
