Dunkin’ Brands Group Inc. has named David Mann to the roles of senior vice president and chief legal officer, the company said Monday.

Mann, who most recently was former senior vice president and deputy general counsel for Marriot International, will be replacing Rich Emmett, who is retiring as chief legal and human resources officer from the company. Mann will report directly to CEO Dave Hoffmann.

“David's legal acumen, dedication to talent development and deep understanding of the franchised business model will be invaluable to us as we continue to drive our brands forward around the world,” Hoffmann said in a statement.

Mann said he was “delighted” to join the company, adding "I look forward to working with the leadership team, the members of the legal department and the franchisee community to better serve our customers around the world."

This is the second senior-level appointment for the Canton, Mass.-based brand in the past three months. In December 2018, Dunkin’ Brands Group Inc. announced the promotion of John Varughese to senior vice president international.

Other recent changes at the company include the revitalization of Dunkin’ espresso beverage platform, the rollout of Dunkin’s new brand identity and a new delivery partnership with GrubHub.

As of Dec. 29, 2018, Dunkin' Brands had more than 12,800 Dunkin' restaurants and more than 8,000 Baskin-Robbins locations globally.
