Tasty Restaurant Group LLC, operator of 190 Burger King and Pizza Hut units, has named Neil Thomson as chief financial officer, the company announced Thursday.
The Los Angeles-based group, the restaurant operating company for private equity firm Tasty Brands LP, said Thomson, left, succeeds Lyle Raveling in the position. Tasty Restaurant Group and Tasty Brands are focused on the chain quick-service restaurant market.
“We are thrilled to welcome Neil to Tasty Restaurant Group’s executive management team. We are fortunate to have attracted such a well-respected industry veteran join us, and his nearly 30 years of experience and success will prove invaluable,” said Robert Rodriguez, Tasty Restaurant Group CEO, in a statement.
A company spokesperson said Tasty Restaurant Group expects to announce several additional acquisitions during the third quarter.
Thomson most recently served as CFO of Del Frisco’s Restaurant Group, where he helped guide the company through a going-private deal last summer.
Prior to Del Frisco's, Thomson worked 15 years in various senior capacities at Yum Brands International and its affiliated Pizza Hut and KFC concepts.
