27 restaurant executives on the move in February

From Inspire Brands to Taco Bell to Sweetgreen, there were shake-ups in the C-suite

Last month, 27 restaurant industry executives left or changed roles in the C-suite.

Sweetgreen named a new chief operating officer who had decades of experience at Starbucks.

Pepper Lunch, Pizza Hut, Captain D’s, Yardbird, and Taco Bell all saw changes in the COO role.

Inspire Brands named a new chief development officer.

There were also several topline leadership changes. Perkins Restaurant & Bakery named a new president, El Pollo Loco named a former Taco Bell executive as its new CEO, Flame Broiler also got a new president, and Mountain Mike’s named a new CEO.

Taco Bell announced that a high-level executive had been given additional responsibilities that now include international on top of their domestic duties.

Wendy’s named a new chief information officer and Whataburger named a new CMO.

Chili’s parent Brinker International named two new executives in February: CIO and CFO.
