Watch live as Texas baseball stadium unveils new menu items

NRN broadcasting 2015 menu rollout via Periscope at 11 a.m. CT

Major League Baseball’s 2015 opening day is fast approaching, but stadium concessions providers have been practicing for months what they hope will be menu home runs.

Starting at 11 a.m. CT today, April 2, Nation’s Restaurant News will be broadcasting live from the 48,114-seat Globe Life Park in Arlington, Texas, as the Texas Rangers and the team’s concessions partner, Delaware North Cos., unveil this season’s new menu items.

The press conference will be broadcast through the Periscope iPhone app by Southwest bureau chief Ron Ruggless. Through the app, readers will be able to watch the stream and post questions live to Ruggless.

Ruggless will ask questions posted by readers at the event or include the answers in coverage on NRN.com. Questions also may be sent to [email protected] or @RonRuggless on Twitter.

The live feed will be available only through Periscope. To watch, download Periscope for free from the iTunes app store and follow @RonRuggless on Periscope and Twitter. To receive an alert when the broadcast begins, allow Periscope to send notifications to your iPhone.

Speakers at the event will include Casey Rapp, operations manager for Buffalo, N.Y.-based Delaware North Cos., and several other foodservice managers.
