CiCi's Pizza names Sarah McAloon CMO

Former Sbarro exec succeeds Nancy Hampton

CiCi's Pizza has named Sarah McAloon as its new chief marketing officer, the company said Wednesday.

McAloon was most recently chief marketing officer at Sbarro LLC and succeeds Nancy Hampton, who has left Coppell, Texas-based CiCi’s, a company spokesperson confirmed.

Prior to joining Sbarro, McAloon worked at Yum! Brands Inc., where she led national marketing and media for Pizza Hut. She also helped launch the chain’s WingStreet brand.

“Sarah has an entrepreneurial spirit that brings creativity and new perspectives to our team as we work with our franchisees to revitalize and reinvent the CiCi’s brand,” said Darin Harris, chief executive of CiCi’s, in a statement. “She is a talented and innovative leader with the kind of experience that will help our team achieve its goals.”

McAloon, a British-born, recently naturalized U.S. citizen, previously held marketing positions in the United Kingdom at Whitbread PLC, Diageo and Pizza Hut.

CiCi’s Pizza, founded in 1985, has about 500 restaurants in 34 states.
