Applebee's, IHOP 2Q same-store sales rise

IHOP same-store sales had not been positive since late 2010

DineEquity Inc. reported positive same-store sales in the second quarter for both its IHOP and Applebee’s brands. For IHOP, it was the first time same-store sales were positive since late 2010, and the increase reflected improving traffic.
 

NET INCOME

Result: $16.6 million, or 87 cents per share
% Increase: 5% (from $15.9 million, or 88 cents per share)

REVENUE

Result: $158.1 million
% Decrease: 31% (from $229.4 million)

SAME-STORE SALES

% Increase: 1.9% at IHOP, 1.3% at Applebee’s
