Yum! Brands Inc. debuted Friday the first of two fast-casual Banh Shop restaurants in the Dallas area.
Christophe Poirier, vice president of emerging brands at Yum, is overseeing the concept. He said the second unit will feature many of the first unit’s elements, including the neon “Banh Mi Sandwiches” signage and photographs.
Menu prices range from $2.25 for a side order of spice-dusted wonton chips in a brown paper bag, to $5.95 and $6.95 for sandwiches and $8.50 for “Wok’d Bowls.”
The second Banh Shop will open later this month or in early October at the Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport's Terminal D, where most travelers embark for international travel.
